Membership

NCATA has a NO REFUND policy on all dues and fees, including conference registration. The no-refund policy is clearly stated on all forms requiring payments. Beginning January 15, 2018, as approved by the NCATA Board of Directors, any overpayment of dues and fees will be donated to the E.H.R. Scholarship Program.

We recommend YOU pay your dues directly to the association either by mail or online. Please, do not send us your local dues! Our membership year runs from January 1 - December 31 each year. Deadline to renew membership is December 31. At that time, the membership dues increase and on January 15, all members who have not renewed their membership are archived in our records.

If you are sending a post-dated check, please attach a sticky note ON THE CHECK to indicate this information.  Many checks are processed each week.

ATTENTION: The Robeson Association of Teacher Assistants (RATA) has a different due date policy for NCATA state dues payment. To be eligible to receive the extra pay that the Public Schools of Robeson County gives in December, all PSRC NCATA PDP holders must have paid both their NCATA and local dues by November 1. Please, do NOT send NCATA your RATA dues. We have a approved a new policy that extra money sent to us WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. It will instead be allocated to our NCATA Scholarship Fund.

DUES AUTHORIZATION IS NO LONGER AN AVAILABLE OPTION FOR NCATA DUE TO NC LAW.

NCATA received a letter dated June 24, 2016 concerning Session Law 2014-115, Section 62(b) of House Bill 1133 that association must have a minimum membership in order to authorize a payroll deduction to be paid to the association. Associations must have a minimum of 2000 members and NCATA does not meet that criteria. Even if we did, state law would require the entire $45 fee be paid at once. To have installment payment via dues authorization, an association must have 40,000 members or more.
