District 8

DISTRICT 8 MISSION STATEMENT:

District 8 will provide professional development relevant to current responsibilities and challenges. District 8 will encourage teacher assistants to become members for greater involvement in district and state events. District 8 will promote individual ideas and success for unity.

Dear District 8 Members,

Currently, NCATA has no officers or committee chairs representing you on the Board of Directors. We have a District 8 membership rally planned for September 23, 2017 at the Mooneyham Library, 240 E. Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043 in Rutherford County. The meeting will begin at 10 AM and last until noon. Light refreshments will be served and there will be door prizes. This will be a meet and greet and an informational meeting with hopes of gaining interest in the association and recruiting new members. You will receive one hour of continuing education training by attending.

Donna Smith, Buncombe County Teacher Assistant Association President, thank you for attending conference and representing District 8 during the evening activities. We hope that more District 8 members will be able to attend our next conference, May 3-6, 2018!

Please, come to the District 8 Rally and also help support the association and your district by recruiting new members. We really do miss you and need you!   Best wishes for a wonderful school year!

Sincerely,
Chris
