Regina Chappell Selected As D1 TAOY

District 1 Education and Human Relations Chair, Felicia Williams, is pleased to announce that Regina Chappell has been selected as the NCATA-District 1 Teacher Assistant of the Year.  In order to be selected teacher assistants must put together a portfolio, and go for an interview with their District EHR Committee.  District winners are selected from among county winners who run for District Teacher Assistant of the Year.  Chappell is now one of eight district finalists who will interview February 20, 2016 for the chance to be selected as NCATA-North Carolina Teacher Assistant of the Year.

Regina has been an active member of NCATA over the past nine years. During this time she has had the opportunity to wear many hats, serve in difference capacities, and participate in various aspects of the association. Mrs. Chappell is married and has one son.  In addition to her service with NCATA she has been active in her church, local boy scouts, and served as a volunteer in her son's school.  Regina loves her job as a teacher assistant, and working with her students on a daily basis.  This past summer she tirelessly worked to campaign for the importance of teacher assistants in our schools. District 1 is proud to have Mrs. Chappell represent us at the State TAOY Interviews.
